What is you need to first of all tools, namely, that goes without garnix
1x 25 Torx
1x Phillips screwdriver (large & small)
1x slot screwdriver (preferably tall and indestructible)
1x soldering iron + solder
1x Ordinary electrical tape (not a windy Gruscht from the hardware store)
then of course 2 LEDs at their best for 2 of them do so. and a normal audio RCA cables for $3 from your lokal Hardware-shop with 5m
also some shrinking-hose.... a mixed package with all sizes from the lokal shop is fine by me... the best mix is with some very small to hoses like finger thick.... you may need all the sizes....
Open the Hood, remove the "Duratec" cover
Rremove the IMRC Cover
(4 Phillips screws), then it looks like that
unscrew the 4 silver and also the one in the top center, the 2 brass-colored on the plug leave as they are, they prevent the destruction of the Plug, now remove the glued plug from the rail, but be careful to prevent destruction
Now you may drill near the location shown 2 small holes, tweak the audio plug and put each one of the cables through one hole... Shrink a hose right on the place where the cables touch the housing, to prevent scratching and harming the insulation....
In any case, you lead a piece out as far as you may need remove the insulation of both cables completely (internal wire and external shield).
Then you solder the connection to the motor of the IMRC motor. Red + and white -
Be sure to watch out that the 2 guys won't touch each other, otherwise it makes FITZ!... and the whole thing is will blow up as soon as it turns on... cover the entire board with insulation-tape with at least 2 layers or more, as I did it, just to be sure that there are no unwanted short circuits, short circuits are very often the reason why the IMRC breaks... paste layers, in which case does the phrase "more is better"
So now put the cover of the IMRC back on
From now it's up to you how you may get into the car with the other end of your cable....
also think of where you want to have the LEDs placed
almost done with everything.... put the LEDs in where you want them, close all the covers and enjoy the show
And here's the conclusion:
I exclude any liability for this modification, so everything is at your own risk. So everyone is responsible for himself. If you don't know if you can really do it because of your knowledge you may ask someone at a workshop or an specialist...
